Procedure Writing Hamburger

Procedure Writing!!  

Martin the Alien has arrived on Earth and he wants to know how to make a Healthy Hamburger. Here is a procedure, using the correct structure and language, to instruct Martin on how to make my favorite healthy hamburger.

Title: The Mr Crabbe patty.

Ingredients/Materials:

A couple of buns, Tomatoes, Cucumber, meat (patties), Cheese, Tomato Sauce, Lettuce and Beetroot.

Method:

1. Put the patties in the oven and let them cook. Leave them in the oven so they won't get cold until you are ready to make.
2. Prepare and cut up all the ingredients.
3. Get a bottom bun and put the patty on top.
4. Squirt some sauce on the patty.
5. Place cut up tomatoes on top of the sauce.
6. Get some cheese to put on.
7. Put lettuce with cucumber and beetroot on top then the top bun.
8. Eat up and enjoy.

The Pretty Powerful Penguins

Introduction: Penguins are birds but belong to the penguin family but they can’t fly.

Appearance

Penguins have short legs and they are black at the back and white at the front. Penguins sleep on the water unlike humans. Penguins are good swimmers since they are a type of sea animal. Penguins have webbed feet.  Penguins have heavy bones to keep under the water but if they didn’t have heavy bones then they wouldn’t keep under water.

Diet and behaviour

Penguins eat fish, squids, small fish, krill and shrimp.

Penguins have a sharp beak to eat and stab their prey and penguins dive really deep to find their prey.

Penguins have two ways to hunt and they love to eat.

Some penguins hunt at night when their favourite foods are asleep.

Habitat

Most penguins live in Antarctica. Some penguins live in the ocean and live in New Zealand. Some penguins visit Antarctica only in the summer some how. Penguins do only live in the coldest places in the world.

Reproduction

Penguins lay eggs where their babies come from. Penguins come to land to mate breed. Penguins lay only one or two eggs. They need to keep their eggs warm. Penguins babies hatch himself out of its egg with its beak. Some penguins lay their eggs in burrows. Penguins takes turns to look after their eggs. They lay their eggs in the middle of winter. Penguins don’t eat when they are laying an egg.

Conclusion

Its kind of dangerous for penguins when they are underwater hunting for food because there are seals that go ahead and try to eat them.

Adverb Cameo

This is an example of my writing using adverbs.                            

  Summer

Quickly the Jacks ran to the sand on the warm beach. ARRR a crab came by when I was walking on the sandy beach. Slowly we walked along the grassy area to pick some beautiful flowers. "Yay!" I yelled, "ice cream time." We waddled up to the the ice-cream stall with a shelter on top. Wawawa! Unfortunately as I was walking back to the beach my ice-cream melted like a snowman shrinking in the sun.  

Science Fair

My group did the balloon rocket for the science fair. We found out that it does not matter how much air you put in the balloon it will still go up the string. But the bigger the balloon the faster and further it travels.

I have been learning how to use adverbs as sentence starters to make my writing more interesting.
Quickly the cat ran after the bird.

Slowly the bunny fell asleep.

Sneakily the boy stole some chocolate.

RAINBOW'S END

 RAINBOW’S END    Rainbow’s End Yay!!! I screamed with excitement. We are going to Rainbow’s End. Come on guys lets get ready so we can go to Rainbow’s End earlier and stay longer. “Hey guys I can see the fear fall,” I said. Yay, we're here. Olivia, Todd , Jess and I ran to the gate. “Mum and dad, come on, run,” I said with happiness. Finally mum and dad were at the gate. We paid some money and got the bands on. We all ran to the bumper cars. I kept bumping into dad and strangers and the strangers bumped into dad and I. When the bumper cars were finished we got out and went to a different ride. Next we went on the gold rush. I went with mum and Olivia but I sat by mum. When we were done we went to see the photo then we went on the inventor. When you went on the edges it felt like you were going to fall off. After that we went on the big rollercoaster.  Dad was really funny. He said that he’d change his mind now because he’s too young too die. Next we went on the enchanted log ride. At the end it had cameras so you could do any face you want. I made funny faces. After that we went to the show. Some little kids went up to dance then they had a lollie scramble. I went up because I like lollies and I got a lot. I got chip’s as well in a big plastic box then there was a magic show. When it was done we went on some other rides then left and went back to the bay of islands. THE END

Legend of Creation

This is my legend of creation. I have the mum and dad split apart from one of the brothers. I have the tree, the sun, the ground, the apples on the tree and the sky.

Hunted Narrative

  HUNTED

Once upon a time there lived a jungle boy who was really hungry. The jungle had lots of trees, traps and bushes. One night the boy popped out from behind the bushes and smelt something nice to eat. He followed the smell, which lead him to a cooked chicken. He stopped for a little bit and as he went to grab it he fell down into a deep hole. It was a trap. A hunter appeared and tried to blind him. When he opened his eyes he was tied up with a piece of rope, upside down. The hunter flashed the wishbone in front of the boys face. The boy snapped it in half. Angrily, the hunter went inside his tent. He was talking to someone on his walkie talkie. While he was talking, the boy used the wishbone to escape. When the hunter realises he gets angry. He runs like a gorilla after him. The boy was near a deep hole and didn’t want to fall in. The hunter grabbed him. Then he saw the camera so he used the flash to blind. He ran away. He ran through the trap and the boy knocked out the hunter. When the hunter woke in the morning he was mad. He was shocked when he saw that he was hanging up high and there were more of the jungle boys singing and dancing below him.

Kate's First Narrative

   My Stranded Island

Kate, Kyra, Taylor, Lani and Lilly woke up in front of the bright yellow sun. They started to look around and found out that they were stuck on an Island. “AHH!!!” Kyra screamed. “Oh, no what?” said Kate. “We are stuck on an Island,” said Taylor worrying. “Shh, we’ll be right,” said Lilly. The Island was leafy and it had bushes with rainbow coloured flowers. It also had a lot of trees with dry sand.

“There is only one way to get off of this Island,” said Kate. Suddenly...Roarrrrr!!! “Ha, did you guys hear that,” asked Lani. Yes! Roarrr!!! "There it goes again!" screamed Lani. A funny smell filled the air. “What is that?” asked Kyra. Kate looked up and saw a wild, hairy beast staring back at her. They all started screaming so loud that the ground started to shake. Then along came a hunting wolf and a rabbit. They began to fight the wild beast. The wild beast got so mad. Everyone joined in and killed the beast. They all lived happily ever after snacking on the beast.

“Yahoo!” I shouted, “It is happy Chromebook day today.” Finally the day had come. I got my clothes on, got my shoes on, brushed my hair and brushed my teeth while mum packed our bags. Finally we arrived at school.  I saw my friends and said hi. Then the bell rang and we went into a line. We went into class and worked. We were so excited when the next bell rang. Bring bring! “Yes!” I screamed like a little excited polar bear.
