My Multiplication Results

Hello This week we had to re-do the multiplication test that we did at the start of the year to see what improvement we had made. Last time I got a score of 14/30 and I knew my 1x,2x,5x,10x and 4x tables. This time my score was 25/30 and I know my 1x,2x,5x,10x,3x and 4x tables. I need to learn my 6x,7x,8x,9x,11x and 12x tables.

My Basic Fasts Term 2

Hello This week we had to re-do the basic facts test that we did at the start of the year to see what improvement we had made. Last time I got a score of 17/60 at stage 5 level 2. This time my score was 29/60 at stage 5 level 2. I need to learn my groupings within 100 my division facts and subtraction facts to 20 because I need to move up to stage 6 level 3 by the end of the year to meet National Standards.

Learning how to put the right information in the right paragraph.

Namaste everyone. Today we had a lesson based on sorting information. We had to high light sentences to show what paragraph would suit them. I got 100%.

Writing: What am I?

Kia ora. We have been learning how to write good descriptions of things. Jorja A and I decided to describe this mysterious animal. I wonder if you can guess what it is? Mrs B helped us edit our work and get all the same ideas in the same paragraph. We did OK but we need to get better at sorting our ideas.

Reading Activity

At the moment we are learning how to write one-sided arguments because we are going to use them in our speech competition. So, during reading we had to do some activities.This activity was really helpful. Understanding how to structure and write an argument.

The first paragraph of an argument is called the THESIS.

A THESIS is something that you believe.

In a piece of argument writing, a THESIS is made up of two parts.

Part 1 is your sentence about what you believe.

This is called a POSITION STATEMENT.

In this exercise you need to match an argument title with its POSITION STATEMENT.. Use the ‘Fill tool’ to colour code the matching POSITION STATEMENTS.
