Yesterday, Team Moana dissected lamb body parts and sketched them and tried to figure out what body part was on the delicate plastic plate. My group had a lamb heart but at first we thought they were lungs, but no it was a heart. We cut the heart open to see what it looked like inside, we then started to feel it because we had to write down some things about Sight, Feel, Taste, Hear and Smell. My most favourite thing about observing the lamb heart was feeling the stretchy veins. The reason we did this was because we were learning about body parts with Harold the giraffe. So I hope you like my poem!
Little bits of the heart were dripping red blood.
Amazing! Yelled my group.
My goodness it was so slimy.
Blood was getting on my hands.
Hunky bits of meat were splitting.
Ew! That heart tastes disgusting!!!
Arteries were snapping.
Ready to taste the lamb heart? Nope!
Tiny bit of the heart was cooking quietly.
Ewww Kate!
